That is my question of the day. We have all heard the rhyme
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.
I'll tell you what both my little boy and girl are made of : piss and vinegar! (a good old quote from my Grandma) I haven't had the chance to look at the moon lately, but is it full because my kids are up to nothing but trouble! Not only is Tate his usual 18 month old self, but his sister has completely started feeding into his naughtiness.
Trying to fill Daddy's shoes, but pretty darn cute at it! Maybe thats my problem - he is starting to act like Dad! Just kidding honey!
It started with my attempt to go to The Children's Place for about 20 minutes just to look around. Of course I should have known better than to take the 2 hoodlums there by myself, but being the wonder mom I am I knew I could handle it. All was well until Tate remembered that he could walk and wailed to be out of his stroller. So I obliged just to test the waters. He didn't do too badly, but wanted to push the stoller which did not make his sister happy since that was her job. After trying to carry around the 30lb tank that is my son and helping Teagan steer the stroller with my one "free" hand I called it quits and loaded them to head home. By they way some great deals on clothes!
Once there you would think the confines of our house would slow them down - yeah right! I started making grilled cheese and SpaghettiOs (i know the supper of champions, but by this time I am all but defeated for the night). I get it made Teagan sits and eat and I turn to see Tate eating his SpaghettiOs with his fingers. No big deal, right? Wrong! He was eating them with his plate upside down as they all dripped onto his highchair. Its like time stood still because in the time it took me to get the papertowels he had managed to smear them all over the tray and himself. You might wonder why there are no pictures of these events, well it is because it was all I could do to not shut myself in my room and pray that Brad would magically appear (yeah right again!)
So, we cleaned up and I threw the kids in the bath. Quite time? Not so much! Tate completely drenches me and the bathroom floor. And annoys the piss out of his sister in the process! This was the point when I decided everyone was going to bed early. So, that is where I am now. Guess what? That didn't happen either! Tate is talking to himself in bed and Teagan is lying on the couch watching TV. I surrender - neither of them are bothering me, so I will take it!
Tate is obsessed with weighing himself. Pretty sure it is because he throws it on the floor and lights start flashing. And yes, he is playing with himself - nothing new!
While getting Tate ready for bed I left the camera in the bathroom alone with Teagan. One of her favorite things to do is take pictures of herself. Not to bad really!
And she loves to take pictures of random things!!! And yes that is a dirty diaper in the background. I have since cleaned up the bathroom!
Is anyone else feeling this lately or are my kids just hitting their stride of what looks to be a long February and March for me? Help!! Don't get me wrong I love them to death, you mother moms know what I am feeling! In other news - my blogs may be further apart for awhile as I am officially joining the Twilight bandwagon. Not going to lie - I am hooked!
