I would like to start off by wishing all of you ladies out there a Happy Mother's Day. Whether you are a mom, are going to be, or are part of a child's life you deserve a little extra recognition this weekend. You all work hard to make children feel loved and special - from one mom to many others - thank you for everything you do!!!
Before Christmas this year a bunch of us went to see Dirty Dancing live and I watched it last weekend. It is just one of those movies that I like to watch every once in awhile and never get tired of it. Good thing I enjoy it so much because it looks like I have my own real life version of Patrick and Jennifer at my house...
Nice, huh? How did it get to this you might ask? Well this is where it started -
After supper we turned on Kidz Bop (stop laughing all you non-parents, its what is in the Happy Meals right now!). Anyway the kids turned into dancing machines and were hilarious!
Teagan broke out some crazy dance moves including her "herky" toe touches. Is that what they are really called?
Tate did some breakdancing. A little cardboard and a boombox and this kid could go a long way!
Tate got tired of dancing before Teagan and decided to climb on the chair and watch for awhile. He has turned into quite the character lately - that is putting it very, very nicely! He is hitting and throwing everything he can get his hands on! We try to stay firm, but it is almost impossible when he gets out of timeout and says "Sowry mommy." He already knows how to get away with this stuff! Great!

This weekend kicks-off our graduation season. We have been invited to 10 so far, which is managable. We have had more - thats what happens when your husband was a teacher and is still a coach. Oh well, it usually means some good socializing and food, so I can't really complain. We are headed to Huxley tomorrow for the first party and then off to Uncle Shane and Aunt Lindsay's house to hang out. We don't get to see them as much as we would like, so we really enjoy spending time with them. They are so great with the kids and we are lucky to have them - even if they are in Des Moines. Oh well, it gives us the occassional excuse to get away! Have a great weekend!!
